Trekking Details

This tour includes 9-days trekking with an average of 5–6 hours of walking a day, with a maximum of around 9 hours. We reach a maximum altitude of 5137m with ascents of up to 1100m. A lesson will be given on the use of crampons and axes. We have graded this trip as challenging to tough.

Trekking In Turkey

Overview

From ‘fairy chimney’ rock formations of Cappadocia to the snow-covered peak of Mount Ararat, we trek across some of Turkey’s most magnificent landscapes. We hike through the Taurus Mountains to the summit of Mount Embler (3723m) and climb to the top of Mount Ararat (5137m). En route we also experience nomad and mountain village life, visit elegant mosques in eastern Anatolia and explore Byzantine architecture in Istanbul.
