What was the highlight or most memorable moment of your tour?

I greatly enjoyed the trip and loved the short period in which we climbed such a high altitude. It's a perfect long weekend. I have to point out the itinarary was misleading as it promised to ascend the peak where as the weather during most time of the year is not supporting this hence we weren't allowed the last 100m. No other groups made it that day so we got further than them but I believe it should have mentioned that we may not climb the peak due to weather conditions. I'd still do the trip again. Great landscape, accommodation and beautiful ascend.

We haven’t had any other reports of groups being unable to ascend to the summit, and we are looking into this with our Operations Manager.

What was the highlight or most memorable moment of your tour?

"Memorable moments of the tour were the 03:30 start to the ascent of Toubkal.  Head torches lit we must have appeared to anyone on the other side of the valley to be a few tiny points of light slowly rising up the pitch black of the opposite wall of rock (stopped regularly for rests).  The summit, too, was obviously awesome, especially after five and a bit hours of climbing.
The souks of Marrakech were a great delight, and being able to drink as much wonderful mint tea in exchange for ""just a quick look"" around owners' Aladdin's cave as I did was a real skill."

How was your Explore Tour Leader?

Mohammed (the first, we had two) was patience personified.  At least until near the end when even the Britishness of our group began to wear on him slightly.

What tips would you give to someone else booking this tour?

Ensure you wear your hiking boots and clothes you'd be happy to trek in on the plane, just in case your baggage doesn't arrive (as it didn't for one person).  Definitely pack a head torch.  Drink plenty of water.  Bring toilet roll.  Be prepared to eat a lot of vegetables, especially ones you may not have had before.  Understand that you'll be at altitude and no matter how fit you think you are your legs are going to ache for a day or so after the long descent.  Take the opportunity to explore the souks, without a tour guide.
