How was your Explore Tour Leader?
Moayad was a great tour leader , and raised the tour from the ordinary to the memorable. His knowledge of his home land was encyclopaedic, and conveyed in a very easy manner. In Petra especially, he brought the ancient landscape to life with hisinformation of past civilisations. He certainly made us want to tour with Explore in the future.
What tips would you give to someone else booking this tour?
Do wear good supporting footwear in Petra, as suggested by Explore, it's quite a walk in through the Suq, and the climbs up to the Monastry and High Places of Sacrifice are testing (but must be done), best done early in the morning whilst there's still some shade around.
Do you have anything else to add?
Learn a couple of words in Arabic, thank you and no thank you, shukran & la Shukran, as these are welcomed by the local traders and can be very useful in politely refusing a donkey ride.
