From start to finish there were so many highlights on my adventure in thailand...from the busy streets of bangkok...to live Muay Thai fights...to cascading waterfalls...five day jungle adventure and my surprise birthday cake (thanks guys)...my list is really endless. A few of my favourite highlights were the homestay with Thai families for two nights living as they do, they were so nice and welcoming...the half day spent at the elephant sanctuary who care for elephants injured by landmines...and i will never forget new years eve 2010...four hour elephant trek up and down a huge mountain in the jungle followed by white water rafting and then we set up camp on the river bank under sunset with nobody else around us for miles, all of us around a camp fire bringing in the new year...it was truly awesome. Our tour guide Nuwa Mandawong is a legend...such a really nice guy did anything for us. i would recommend this adventure holiday to anyone that is up for the adventure of a lifetime...but remember guys there are no toilets in the jungle!!!! And also be prepared for the large amount of time needed to travel around Thailand to see there beautiful country at its natural best...all in all its really worth it. (OTK - 21st December 2010)
