What was the highlight or most memorable moment of your tour?

"There were two real highlights on this tour.  First was watching the annular eclipse as the sun dipped towards the horizon, casting rays of glorious light across the Grand Canyon.  We waited till the sun was set before moving on, allowing for some wonderful photos of misty canyon walls, followed by some of a deep red sky.
The second highlight for me was a visit to Antelope Canyon.  The sun shines through the roof of this slot canyon assaulting the eyes as one walks through.  No words can adequately describe the profusion of reds and golds, the twists and turns of sandstone walls blown into incredible shapes by the rush of flash floods over the years.  The visit is optional on this tour.  Don't miss it!"

How was your Explore Tour Leader?

Excellent.  He made things happen as though they just happened.  Only really hard background work can achieve this.  He was attentive and supportive of the varying needs of the group.  From a personal point of view he was extrememly good at remembering I would not hear instructions given while on the road and quietly kept me updated on a one to one basis.

What tips would you give to someone else booking this tour?

Remember your suntan lotion!  Be prepared to take a lot of photos, even if you ar not a keen photographer and also - enjoy Las Vegas even if it is not 'your thing'.

Do you have anything else to add?

I don't usually travel so far for so short a time, but this trip was so packed with things to do and to see that I felt quite sated by the time we arrived back in Las Vegas.

Trip Highlight: - Climbing the Pyramids in Tikal, Guatemala & taking in the views over the rain forest. Suggestion: - It would have been a much better tour had all breakfasts been included. It would have been appreciated, especially on days with an early start. (MX - 16th October 2010)

I have always wanted to see the Grand Canyon and having at last found a tour that didn't spend several nights in Las Vagas I decided to go for it. I was not at all disappointed. The scenery was out of this world.   It was certainly a whistle stop tour but gave a great idea of the landscape. I thought the Grand Canyon was out of this world, but then Bryce Canyon was just as amazing it its own way. The softer landscape of Zion National Park made a very fitting end to all the excitements.
