Choosing the right holiday can be tough - Explore operates over 500 itineraries, some suitable for Families, some for Adults only, some for Walkers and some for Culture vultures. They all share one thing - they are created with passion for unique experiences.
It makes it difficult to choose, and the nature of adventure travel means that you will have a lot of questions...

Choosing your tour
Tour Styles
We have simplified the categories for the tours this year to reflect the overall style of the tour. Each tour has a style which is represented by an Icon which you will see around our brochure, on the dossiers and on this website.
Our Tour Styles are explained in the Tour Styles section of this website
Walking and Trekking
Many of our tours are fantastic for people who want to see the world on foot - we grade our tours from Easy to Tough. Easy walking tours are suitable for nearly everyone, while our Tough treks are only for the experienced walkers.
Our walking grades are explained in the Walking Grades section of this website
When to travel?
We design our itineraries to run during the best times of year if at all possible - we'll aim not to run tours in the middle of the monsoon for example. Generally, the best time to go then is up to you - simply choose one of the dates that we have planned and book the time off work!
You can search for holidays at specific times of year using the Quick or Advanced Search tools
Where to travel?
Explore offers tours all over the world, so you really do have the greatest choice possible for your small group adventure. We try to encourage our customers (and staff) to travel to countries that they have not experienced before, to soak up new cultures and new landscapes and to meet new people from very different background.
