OMG! Tour Leader Moments Competition

In January, we launched an OMG! (Oh My Goodness!) campaign for Explore passengers. We wanted to hear about all the fantastic and individual moments that our clients have experienced whilst travelling.

It became clear that it is often you, the tour leaders, who make these amazing, unique and memorable moments happen. So, to celebrate you and all the OMG moments that you create, we are launching a tour leader OMG competition.

All you need to do is follow the link and tell us your best OMG moment as an Explore tour leader. The top ten responses will be awarded £200 each. So go on, think about the moments that you will never forget as an Explore leader and win yourself some cash!

Taking part is easy; simply tell us about an OMG! moment from your travels, and the ten best moments will win £200 cash!

To give you the idea here are a few examples from our time on the road as Explore tour leaders:

Teaching the hokey-kokey song and dance to a group of Ghanaian children whilst waiting for our broken down bus to be fixed.

Getting to the Yellow River in China and seeing a man blowing up sheepskins, these were then strapped together, a piece of wood was put over them and this is what the group used to raft downstream. The second OMG moment that day, was when the sheepskins started to deflate half way down the river and we started to get wet!

Jumping in a semi-frozen lake in Sweden seemed like a good idea at the time but it was so cold we got out again as fast as we could. It was over a mile walk back to our campsite but some locals took pity on us and invited us into a nearby sauna to warm up, drink beer and try to learn Swedish!

We have all seen beautiful sunrises and sunsets, climbed mountains and seen wonders of the world but this competition is about the memories that make you smile, the individual experiences that make tour leading magic. So avoid the clichés and share your stories with us!

OMG! Tour Leader Competition Terms & Conditions: All OMG submissions must be made by midnight (GMT) on 7th May 2011. The top 10 entrants wil be selecte by a panel of Explore staff. The OMG moment must be from an Explore tour. Explore can use the OMG moments submitted in furture marketing material
