Imagine, all the exhilaration and excitement of an adventure tour but planned specially with families in mind. With Explore Family Adventures we've taken our simple yet successful formula for adventure travel and fine-tuned it to cater for the younger explorer, with departures timed to coincide with school holidays.
There are plenty of activities on offer, all seriously good fun. From kayaking in Turkey to dog-sledding in Sweden, elephant riding in Thailand to viewing the Big 5 in Africa. Kids are very adaptable and are usually the first to engage with the locals and pick up the local language. Travelling in small groups of four or five families your children soon make friends and the tour leader helps to ensure the whole tour runs smoothly.
The adventure becomes one big learning curve – geography, languages, history, social and health education and the environment – and the beauty is they won't even know it’s happening!
If you’re a family with teenagers you’ll be pleased to know we’ve created a range of adventures just for you – our Teens on Tour holidays. And for even more options check out our regular family trips, where we’ve reserved some departure dates just for families with older (11+) children: just look out for the T symbol on tour Prices / Dates pages.
Toddler in the camp? If you have a 2+ year old but still yearn for exciting, adventurous, Explore-style holidays then check out our brand new Tots on Tour range of trips planned specially with younger kids in mind
And finally…single parents look no further! Travelling in small, sociable groups, our holidays are perfect for single parents too. Single parents make up roughly a quarter of the families travelling with us, so we know the formula works – for kids and parents alike. So much so that we’ve picked out some special ‘single parent only’ departures on our most popular tours. Look out for the S symbol on the Prices / Dates pages. Want to know more?
