In the summer months, when the ice begins to break up, the polar bear heads for land in search of food and this offers us the best chance of seeing these mighty mammals. If ice conditions allow, we will attempt a circumnavigation of the Svalbard archipelago, where we will make shore landings using zodiacs - and, if you are brave, go for that irresistible polar dip!
