100% Bear-antee

Spitsbergen is arguably the world's best place to see Polar bears. Owing to the M/S Expedition team's extensive experience and knowledge of the area, your chances of seeing them are excellent. That's why M/S Expedition are the first in the industry to extend a Polar bear guarantee - a “100% Bear-antee”. In the unlikely event that the team is unable to locate a Polar bear, every passenger onboard will receive a credit for the amount they spent on their cruise to use towards a future Arctic cruise aboard M/S Expedition.

Terms & conditions:

The “100% Bear-antee”' applies to M/S Expedition’s “Realm of the Polar Bear” voyages only (ref. ACS and ACSX).  This is a guarantee of having the opportunity to see a Polar bear on these selected cruises.  All clients will be alerted to a Polar bear sighting onboard. Official Polar bear sightings will be recorded in the ship’s log, and the ship’s log is the only accepted measurement of Polar bear sightings. Should a passenger not respond when a Polar bear sighting is announced on-board they are deemed to have had the opportunity to see a Polar bear and the “100% Bear-antee” does not apply. Should a Polar bear be sighted during an excursion, and the passenger has chosen not to participate in that excursion, they are deemed to have had the opportunity to see the Polar bear and the “100% Bear-antee” does not apply.
Should no Polar bear sightings occur over the duration of the cruise where a “100% Bear-antee” is designated passengers will be eligible for a credit to the value of monies paid to Explore for the cruise only (the flight costs, transfers and other non-cruise costs will not be credited). This credit may be used toward payment on any M/S Expedition Arctic cruise departing within 15 months from date of first travel. The credit cannot be transferred to another individual and is not valid on any other Explore trips, including M/S Expedition Antarctic sailings. Credit has no cash value.  The “100% Bear-antee” does not apply to clients booked on “Norwegian Fjords & Polar Bears” (ref ELN) cruises nor on “Spitsbergen, Greenland & Iceland” (ref. ASG).
