A voyage to the Arctic or Antarctic is the trip of a lifetime. Just imagine waking up surrounded by glaciers and mountains as far as the eye can see, standing encircled by penguins or that heart-stopping moment when you see your first polar bear... Travelling with Explore, you'll see the region on a small, informal expedition ship, maximising your time with the wildlife and on-shore. You'll also see these regions responsibly, as all of our expeditions are run in accordance with environmental guidelines.
Our new Polar Adventures brochure features 3 new ships and 19 new polar voyages.
Welcome to our new collection of Polar Adventures. For 2012 we've introduced more ships that'll take you into the heart of Antarctica and to the most
rugged parts of the Arctic. Spot emperor penguins, the tallest penguin species in the world, in the Ross Sea, or navigate the Arctic on a two mastered schooner, the Noordelicht. These are just 2 of our new ideas, to complement our classic collection of Polar Adventures.

Small Ships
A critical part of any polar voyage is the ship you travel on. We only use small, expedition vessels which are certified for polar waters. Smaller passenger numbers on board mean that more shore landings are possible and you will have unlimited access to your polar guides and expedition team on board. Find out more our our polar ships
