Photography Workshops on Polar Voyages
E-mail Print

Everybody wants that perfect photo to encapsulate their once-in-a-lifetime Arctic or Antarctic experience

Polar-Photography

Some of our polar voyages offer expert photographic tuition so you can hone your skills during special on-board workshops. There's no need to be a Mario Testino or have a detailed knowledge of cameras before-hand; the workshops offer both beginner and advanced levels and everyone is welcome.

During landings, you will be put into a small group and accompanied by a photographic expert to help you take better pictures of your magical surroundings (maximum 14 participants on some voyages and up to 20 on others).

As the ship sails you’ll also be able to listen to photo lectures and attend workshops to learn more about objects, exposures and photo composition. The workshops are not designed to instruct on how to use specific camera models, but more to give an insight into how to obtain better results by respecting the basic rules of photography. It doesn't matter if you have a 'point and shoot' camera, a digital SLR or even a film camera - all are welcome.

Photo workshops are free of charge on our Antarctic Peninsula - PLAP voyage and supplemented on other voyages (as detailed below). The photo workshop must be pre-booked with us prior to departure.
