Steeped in Buddhist traditions dating back for countless generations, the land is peppered with ornately decorated temples and statues. The gleaming golden spires of the immense Shwedagon Pagoda are only outshone by the plains of Bagan where some 4000 ancient temples rise above the forest – a truly moving and unforgettable sight. Other highlights include the famous ‘leg rowers’ on Inle Lake, a trip to visit the Shan villages and of course the Burmese people – arguably the friendliest and most welcoming people on the planet.

Additionally we get closer to the locals in less visited but equally rewarding places such as Bago, Popa and Myingyan.
