Special Offers - Free nights

Hotels in Cape Town, along the Garden Route, in Kruger National Park and in the Winelands area all have special offers on at the moment, where you can stay and get nights for free.

In Cape Town, you can stay at the exclusive Table Bay or Cape Grace hotels for four nights and get the fourth free, or the same offer applies at the great value Southern Sun properties.

Further afield, Simbavati River Lodge, adjacent to Kruger National Park, has a stay four and pay for three nights offer, while along the Garden Route, the Pezula Resort Hotel & Spa, Knysna, and Grootbos Private Nature Reserve are offering three nights for the price of two.

There are lots more, too, and some may be combinable to get you a great value South African tailor-made holiday.

When to Travel

There is no wrong time to visit South Africa. November to March is hot, and a great time to safari and sightsee. May to October is whale-watching season and cooler on the south coast.

WILDLIFE, WILDLIFE, WILDLIFE

South Africa will take you on a breath-taking journey encapsulating the famous Kruger National Park, wine-laden vineyards of Stellenbosch, the Garden Route’s spectacular coastline and imposing Table Mountain in Cape Town. Stretching from the poignant Zulu battlefields to Cape Agulhas, the continent’s southernmost point, South Africa is steeped in cultural heritage.

Meet Linzi Summers, Regional Specialist for South Africa

South Africa offers such a variety of things to see and do. There’s alfresco dining enjoying the fabulous views in the winelands with rows of red and white roses (protecting the vines), the vibrant V&A Waterfront with seals popping up unexpectedly, stunning views from Table Mountain and the emotional historical battlefield tours where you can revisit the scenes of the now famous skirmishes. A few of my favourite things to do are walking along trails amid dramatic mountain ranges, taking coastal walks along the rugged beaches of the Indian ocean, and driving through forests and lakes staying in little gems of accommodation.  South Africa is a foodie’s delight, too; dinner is usually accompanied by delicious wines and, of course, no trip would be complete without the fabulous game rich reserves.

“A FEW OF MY FAVOURITE SOUTH AFRICIAN HIGHLIGHTS”

Picnics and Wine

tm_southafrica_high1

“There is nothing quite like a summer picnic in the Cape Winelands at Boschendal. Savour your picnic hamper packed to the brim with delicious cold meats, salads and cheeses under the
shade of fragrant pine trees."

Treehouse Sleepouts

"The African bush is at your fingertips on a wild adventure sleeping under the starlit sky – 11 metres off the ground! Beds are immaculately prepared by friendly staff on wooden
platforms overlooking the river in Sabi Sands."

The Real Cape Town

“Gain a real insight into South Africa’s apartheid heritage and interact with the local community by visiting a township. A number of townships dotted around the
Cape will share their stories and you can visit a ‘shebeen’ – an informal tavern."
