When to Travel

Uganda is sunny most of the year with temperatures usually remaining comfortable & rarely exceeding 30 degrees. Just like its African neighbours, Uganda follows a similar pattern with two wet seasons during the year. The main rainy season falls between late March and May with rain often lasting days, thus making travel difficult. The light rain season is during November when it generally lasts only an hour or two each day leaving conditions revitalised and refreshed.

COMPACT, EXTREME, GORILLA

With its charming and friendly people, beautiful and diverse scenery, forests full of chimpanzees and the mighty mountain gorillas, Uganda is growing in popularity and it is easy to see why.

Meet Anneli Rudiger, Regional Specialist for Uganda

 Anneli
If you’re looking for a unique safari holiday, then Uganda is for you. Journey deep into forests for a truly humbling encounter with mountain gorillas. You can trek for just an hour or a lot longer, but one thing is for sure, when you find a family of gorillas, it’s not an experience that will be forgotten. Uganda is also one of our favourite special places because it has such a diversity of wildlife, from leopards to warthog, and chimpanzees to a myriad of bird species. Be awe-inspired by nature.
