Suitability
Is this the trip for you?
- We've graded the pace of this tour as full-on and we'll cover a lot of ground to pack in the highlights.
- Due to the nature of accommodation in Greece there are often no lifts and generally no porters. You'll need to be able to carry your own luggage up to your room in hotels so make sure you don't pack more than you can manage.
- Make sure you carry cash with you, as some places we visit aren't well set up to accept credit and debit cards.
- In mainland Greece water bottles can be filled up in most tavernas and hotels. Your tour leader will help you find the best places to refill water bottles where needed, so don' forget to bring a water bottle!
- Although this is a discovery tour, Greece's archaeological sites do involve quite a bit of walking. You'll need to be comfortable walking unassisted on cobbled surfaces, steady on your feet, and prepared to navigate uneven terrain. These sites are often exposed to the elements and don't offer much shade, so while we aim to avoid visiting during the hottest part of the day, we recommend bringing a hat and a water bottle. Shoes with good grip and ankle support are also advisable.
