Free Transfers
Same day transfers from the international arrival airport to the start point of the tour are included on all flight inclusive holidays booked with Explore.

Who is eligible for a free transfer?
We offer free transfers to all customers who purchase connecting flights (or rail tickets) from the UK through Explore, as long as arrival and departure dates are the same as the start and end dates of the tour on which you are booked.

Where are the transfers from and to?
Transfers are from the Explore designated airport or railway station to the joining point of the tour, then back from the end point of the tour to the designated airport or railway station. Generally the designated airport or railway station is the main one in the town or city in which the tour starts, or the one nearest to the joining point.

How are transfers arranged?
We arrange all transfers through our local ground agents. They are exclusive to Explore, but you are likely to be sharing with other Explore customers arriving at a similar time. You will be met in the arrivals area of the airport or railway station by a driver or local representative carrying an Explore sticker or card with your name on. You may have to wait for a while until others make their way through to the arrivals hall. If this is the case, the driver or representative will ensure that you have somewhere comfortable to wait, perhaps a cafĂ© or other seated area.  You may get lucky and end up in your own private car, however this cannot be guaranteed, and most included transfers are shared and use chartered minibuses or other similar vehicles.

What if I would prefer my own private transfer?
Explore can offer private transfers on most tours at additional cost. Please ask for a quote at the time of booking if this is your preference.

What if I am arriving earlier or leaving later?
All customers who have purchased flights/rail tickets through Explore who arrive a day or more before the tour starts and depart a day or more after the tour ends are responsible for arranging their own transfers. Explore can provide private transfers on most tours at additional cost. Please ask for a quote at the time of booking.

Are free transfers available on all Explore tours?
The only tours where a free transfer is not provided for flight-inclusive customers are where the joining point is the airport or railway station itself. Where this is the case you would generally join up with all other members of the group and your Tour Leader before moving on as part of the tour.
