If I could only travel to one place for the rest of my life it would be Victoria Falls. It's the perfect combination of breath taking scenery, wildlife opportunities, activities (not all white knuckle!) and friendly locals. The craft markets in town are wonderful for browsing before wandering through the National Park down towards the Falls. As you get closer you can feel the spray on your face and the thunderous roar becomes ever louder. A memorable way to end any day is on a sunset cruise along the great Zambezi, listening to the call of fish eagles whilst hippo pods grunt and wallow. You may even be lucky enough to see elephants taking a drink and wading into the water with their young. Paradise!
Where would you like to go next?
I enjoy my safaris and have yet to venture to Zambia's South Luangwa National Park. Featured on numerous wildlife documentaries, this is firmly on my list.
Best piece of travel advice?
When travelling with family or friends we always share the contents of the cases to some extent; so if one bag goes missing on the flight everyone has at least one change of clothes when we reach our destination.
