Lone Buffalo Foundation is a community project based in Phonsavan, Laos, in which boys and girls can study, develop and play sport. The foundation is committed to improving opportunities for young people and focuses on education and English studies and currently teaches more than 170 young people over 9 classes with the help of 4 teachers (2 western / 2 Lao).
They also look to help people, through sport and football coaching. One of the highlights this summer was 3 local girls attend the FIFA ‘Football for Hope Festival in Rio.
In addition to this, the Lone Buffalo Foundation aim to raise the quality of English tuition locally by training Lao teachers to teach English. It’s a project that is close to our hearts at Explore, as it was one of our long-standing Tour Leaders helped set up the foundation and is passionate about improving the lives of these children.
