I split my time between working in the office as a tour consultant for Explore’s ground agent, Land & Lake Safaris, and working on the road as a tour leader for Malawi, Zambia, Tanzania and Mozambique.
I became a tour leader after I retired as a safari guide. My favourite thing about this job is being able to share my knowledge of my country with people from all around the world.
At weekends I go to Church with my family and friends, spend time in my vegetable garden, and look after my chickens. I also enjoy watching live football on TV, especially English premier league and Spanish league.
If you’re coming here on tour, it’s always good to do some research first so you understand the culture you are coming to visit. It’s a poor country, so be prepared to witness poverty. The scenery here though is just wonderful and you may be surprised to see just how beautiful my country is!
My traveller tip: Many travellers bring pencils, pens and notebooks with them, to donate to the local primary school and help support our children’s education.
