Family holidays in Thailand

From trying Thai boxing in Bangkok to a guided jungle walk through Khao Sok rainforest, Thailand offers something for every age. Walk barefoot across the white sandy beaches of tropical islands, spot pink dolphins and share unforgettable moments on your Thailand family holiday.

Small group Thailand family holidays

Cruise in a traditional long-tail boat along Bangkok’s canals and watch vendors float past with boats piled high with vegetables and tasty snacks. Stay in a jungle lodge and see monkeys drinking from the river in the lush rainforest of Khao Sok National Park. Or slow the pace on palm-fringed beaches and coconut plantations in Koh Samui.

From the bustling markets and neon lights of Bangkok to remote villages in the north and golden beaches in the south, Thailand is an incredibly diverse destination — the ideal starting point for families new to Asia.

Our Thai family holidays range from relaxed to full-on adventures. Led by expert local tour leaders chosen for their knowledge and passion, our small group tours (12–18 people on average) are designed with families in mind.

Best family destinations in Thailand

Relax on Koh Samui island
Unwind among coconut plantations and palm-fringed beaches while staying in beachside accommodation on the north of the island. Snorkel in turquoise waters, stroll along white sandy beaches or explore jungle trails leading to temples and waterfalls. Koh Samui has something for everyone — from natural wonders to lively night markets, stylish restaurants and shopping. Our Thailand Active Jungle Beach Adventure includes three nights in this idyllic setting.

Experience bustling Bangkok
Dive into the capital’s energy, famous for its street vendors, tuk tuks, bright lights and khlong boats navigating the canals. Try Thai boxing at a Muay Thai training camp or cruise the waterways on a traditional long-tail boat. Sample authentic Thai food at Siam Paragon’s food court and shop for souvenirs. All our family trips to Thailand include time in Bangkok.

Stay in a jungle lodge in Khao Sok National Park
One of South East Asia’s oldest rainforests, Khao Sok is framed by dramatic limestone peaks and teeming with wildlife — from elephants and gibbons to the rare Malaysian sun bear. With around 180 bird species, it’s a paradise for nature lovers. Explore by guided jungle walk and canoe ride, with time to swim in the river. Most of our family adventure holidays in Thailand include time here, such as our Thailand Jungle and Islands Adventure.
