There are some compelling reasons why you should visit El Salvador: dramatic volcanic landscapes, blue-green lagoons and, horizon-filling panoramas. North of San Salvador, near the Honduran border, are the towns of La Palma and San Ignacio, where handicrafts of brightly painted wood and other styles are made.
