We offer single room options for those not wanting to share a room - you can spot them on the dates and prices section of our tour pages. They do often feature in our special offers throughout the year so worth keeping an eye out for them.

Our food trips are built for those with little requirements so we can encapsulate the whole culinary suite. For any food requirements, please get in touch with our team who will be able to talk with you about possible options and things that you will or won’t be able to do as well as tours that will be more suitable for you than others. Absolutely, it tends to be on the first night in most places that the tour leader will take you for dinner. We announce the evenings where you have the option to dine with the group or organise your own dinner in advance – so that you can get your individual restaurant visits booked in nice and early.

If you don’t eat fish and seafood, Japan definitely has other options for you. Yakitori (chicken) and other meat dishes (Wagyu or Hida beef) are hugely popular across this trip. No, they very much do their own thing. They did take on some of what had been brought in by neighbours and invaders but they’ve very much managed to create their own culinary universe.

No, you don’t. We’re helping to create the dishes and you’ll have a local chef help you do the task you’re allocated to do the dish. You’ll be shown step by step what to do and the chef will be on hand for any question. It’s all supposed to be easy and fun – so there is no stress on getting everything right.
