Fantastic trip with great scenery and a knowledgeable guide. Tea houses were fairly good as was food. The drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu took over ten hours, on a quiet day which was really disappointing. Would have been better to fly like the Exodus group did, although Explore say you can't fly........

Very well organised trip, beautiful landscape to enjoy whilst walking. The leader Dawa was fantastic, tuned well to participants needs, fitness, as well as to his crew. Most of the trip went very smoothly, with couple of times longish wait for lunches to be cooked, but this was not a major issue. The tea houses, lodges etc were much better than we expected, with quite a few days having toilet and bathroom attached to the room. Having toilet paper in the day sack and cleaninh gel is a must. We quite like the food which was varied( apart from breakfasts on the trek), certainly introduced us to food we did not know before. Having 6 "guides" for a group of 16 was so reassuring! They supported everyone who struggled at times, in a very natural and easy way, and were always attuned to our needs.
There was a very good atmosphere between the crew members and they had good humore , which was very helpful. The porters did their job amazingly!! The fact that we had to walk on a few days quite a lot along the so called road, with wind, dust and varied vehicles, made it difficult, and if there is any way to avoid some of the road walking it will be good. At times I thought there was big gaps between the participants( not surprising giving the varied fitness levels), not always was a guide in sight. After discussing it one evening this improved, so that the guides made sure they were visible .
The coach journeys from and to Katmandu were long , It would be so easier to fly from Pokhara to Katmandu, although we understand the reasons why Explore do not do it.
Immersing oneself in a 15-16 days of walking was overall a wonderful experience, which was made easier by very good organisation and suport of the crew.
