Actual trip in Antarctica was overseen by GAdventures and this could not be faulted. Accommodation, food etc on board ship was great. Daily itinerary was dependent on conditions but opportunities were perfectly taken by the GAdventure staff. All excellent. Web site data which was made available on return was also really good
Flights to/from Buenas Ares were booked by Explore and these were disappointing. Air Europa are probably the worst airline I have traveled with and there was no record of vegetarian request for my travelling companion.

This expedition cruise is operated by G Adventures on their ship MS Expedition departing from Ushuaia. Explore will arrange all flights, transfers and transit accommodation in Buenos Aries if required as we did.

Unfortunately, we were not impressed with Explore's hotel ('A' Hotel in Recoleta, Buenos Aires), the staff being very unwelcoming and unhelpful - not even offering a simple breakfast pack as we needed to check out before breakfast service. Transfers with Global Encounters was smooth and efficient.
Also, we were advised by Explore that checked baggage was limited to 15kg on the internal Argentinian flights which was not correct as the return 'flight package' from London was an 'iternational package' allowing up to 23kg on the internal flights.

This is our second trip on MS Expedition, the first being to the Svalbard Archipelago.

As ever, all aspects of the trip from the overall itinerary, the very knowledgeable guides, attention to safety, to the excellent food and cabin (ours was a group 3 twin) was first rate.

If you have been fortunte to visit the Svalbard archipelago and are wondering what antarctica offers, well, apart from different wildlife, the scenary is simply stunning!

This trip exceeded my expectations in virtually every way. The whole trip was the perfect combination of comfort (top-notch expedition leaders and crew, fantastic food, comfortable and clean accommodation all in good repair) and activity (two amazing expeditions ashore per day, hiking, interacting respectfully with wildlife, learning about the environment). The trip length was great and the I couldn't have designed a better itinerary if I'd done it myself. I'd easily/quickly recommend this trip to anyone -- no regrets!

Tribeca Buenos Aires Hotel ok not good airier. Would have liked your staff to have suggested City tour as we had a day to waiste . Global encounters. excellent. The boat G Adventures. Excellent staff could not have worked harder for us . I was sad that your staff in England did not offer more help. Every time I rang I got a different person. If l used personal line had to leave a message . Every one was charming and helpful but l had to ask the. questions. I also don't like email. so had to keep asking for hard copies. I missed out on camping du to just being sent an email no talking. I would say you know the market but your staff are too busy for clients

We were lucky with the sea conditions on the Drake Passage and the weather in Antarctica was good. But in any case this is a fabulous trip, with more sea-life and birds than you can imagine - various whales, seals, sealions, sea-birds and of course thousands of penguins! The itinerary was great and the information from the on-board naturalists was excellent. I would do it again.
