There is no Explore leader but there is an ship's expedition leader and expedition team. This was booked through Explore Tailormade to G Adventures.

We did get to 81 degrees north amid much excitement and spent four days in the High Arctic before setting off to Greenland. Geology and ice were spectacular.

Getting to a settlement in Greenland was incredibly interesting as was talking to the people who live there. For adventurous travellers, this is a wonderful trip. Good to be fit for it too.

We had only one sighting of a polar bear but it was a very long one. The bear kept the whole ship enthralled for almost an hour.
Take a good camera and plenty of memory cards.
