The tour is fast moving and you pack in a lot while also having some much needed 'downtime'. The highlights for our family were the Kinabatangan River, with its fabulous wildlife and chilled resort, and the Mount Kinabalu trek, which was tough but an amazing experience. Our guide Jenny was wonderful, lovely to be with and very helpful.

Really good trip with plenty of highlights for me. Monitor lizards on both islands, seeing the orangutans at seplok, bats leaving the cave, probiscus monkeys and other monkeys and crocodiles at billit, canopy walks and sun bears, watching the sunrise from mount Kinabalu!!

Borneo is a beautiful country with exceptional wildlife. This was a enjoyable tour with a good range of activities, exploration and sightseeing. We particularly enjoyed the unspoilt Kinabatangan river cruise and the snorkelling in Pilau Tiga but found the Sepilok Orang-utan and Sun Bear Sanctuaries (whist worthwhile rescue programmes), similar to viewing in a UK zoo. It was an amazing experience to reach the summit of Mount Kinabulu and a beautiful climb but it is strenuous and not all of the group felt the desire to go beyond base camp. It is worth preparing physically for the trek and take pack fleeces, base layers, warm gloves and a good waterproof for the summit ascent.
