Please review your overall experience and what your highlights were

A tremendous holiday for a family with teenage children. Lovely slow pace with busts of activity. The places you visit all offer something different. The breeze on the boat makes hot temperatures no problem. The swimming is just wonderful.

What was the highlight or most memorable moment of your tour?

The traditional wooden boat is the most amazing way to visit this beautiful country. Living on board is made very easy with the relaxed atmosphere created by the crew and the other families, whilst the scenery you sail by is just breathtaking from start to finish.

What Was The Highlight Or Most Memorable Moment Of Your Tour

Meeting the other families on the boat and eating as a large group of an evening, both on the boat and at restaurants on land. Additionally going on a group cycling tour across one of the islands in the gorgeous sunshine

How Was Your Explore Tour Leader

Maria was lovely. Very organised and efficient, but listened to the groups wishes and was able to adapt and repond very positively. Maria got on very well with all members of the group both adults and children.

What Tips Would You Give To Someone Else Booking This Tour

"Pack, is limited. Swimming gear and shorts etc is almost all you need on board during the day... If you want to sleep up on deck...which most did at some point...bring a roll mat or something comfortable to lie on."

Do You Have Anything Else To Add

The Croatian staff on board were excellent and very amenable.

What was the highlight or most memorable moment of your tour?

There was a great mix of relaxation and actvity. The scenery is stunning. It was lovely exploring a new island every day and being able to swim off the boat in the beautiful crystal clear water.

From the moment we stepped on board the Mila Majka, Captain Pedro and his family made us feel totally welcome. The sea kayaking the next morning around Dubrovnik was a real highlight and a great way to get to know the rest of the group. Then we headed off along the beautiful and surprisingly undeveloped coastline to our first island stop for a swim; the first of many on this trip. The food and local wine were superb (Pedro was once a chef in Rome), the water turquoise and clear and the villages unspoilt. The kids (and adults!) took advantage of every opportunity to jump off the boat into the water. Korcula was a highlight, though was rather busy in peak season – and the windsurfing was in a great sheltered spot by the city walls. A relaxing tour with plenty of active stuff to do if you want it, and the ice cream is to die for! The kids got on brilliantly as did the parents. My top tip would be to take a good pair of water shoes as there are lots of sea anemones. Also pack light – you don’t need much and storage in the cabins is limited. (FDC- 14th August 2010)
