The wildlife was a highlight. Seeing kingfishers squabbling, tortoises and turtles. The cycling was challenging yet rewarding. The beer at the end of the day was well earned but all the better for it. The day to Fethie was enjoyable. A challenging ride in the morning and boat transfer with plenty time for a swin in the afternoon.

Really good trip thanks to careful planning by our excellent guide. He also gave us a true insight into Turkish culture and provided us with amazing historical knowledge. I loved the exciting meal venues eg. A trout farm, the garden of Turkish families and a floating pontoon next to a gorge. Even the boat trips were fun....and I hate boats! Paul is amazing! Competent & well organised.....he went to endless lengths to ensure our trip was varied and fun. Paul is also very knowledgeable about the history & culture of Turkey and is sociable with everyone in the group. The best leader I have ever had.

Personally I was fine with the cycling as I am an experienced road cyclist but from the reaction of the group I would say that it is more of a challenging trip as it is hilly but it's made easier on the mountain bikes with their range of gears. I loved it - far more challenging than cycling on a flat road and the mountain areas are so interesting. A good level of fitness is required

This is not for the faint-hearted. This consists of multiple alpine style ascents every day which challenged even the more experienced cyclists on the trip. This may not be suited for leisure cyclists. Though I am not a regular cyclist, I consider myself quite fit and really struggled. However, a week later, I find myself ready for the next challenge.

Highlights were going to such interesting places, seeing beautiful, varied scenery, & meeting Turkish people I would never otherwise have been to, seen, or met. This trip does enable you to do something you would not do alone, thanks to the fabulous knowlege and efforts of the leader.

My top tip is do some training before you go, as the cycling was challenging and most people on the tour were much fitter than I was!

The trip got us up in the remote mountains of Lycia with a beautiful, pastoral landscape, scenic views and fascinating people and villages. This was combined with bicycling along the coast with lively tourist hubs, good swimming and interesting history and archeology. The tour leader was very interesting and motivating and the team functioned well.

You need to be fit and trained in bicycling to make all the climbing.

The Explore holidays I've been on have been well organised, and I've met lots of fun, interesting people in the groups.

I'm not sure they are great for "last minute" deals though. As I generally want to do cycling which often takes a bit of organising. Also the flight prices seem to go up closer to flying time.
