Please review your overall experience and what your highlights were

Very enjoyable holiday, good company, good hotels. The wine tasting with so many varied cellars and wineries was really interesting, and the walking although it was hot the scenery with the many different birds very good.

Please review your overall experience and what your highlights were

Enjoyed both Madrid and Oporto, and loved the contrast of rural walks and villages between them. Particularly enjoyed wine tasting in Toro and Fermoselle.

Please review your overall experience and what your highlights were

This is a very interesting and diverse tour - scenic countryside, historical cities and good food and wine. The walks were at an easy pace for anyone of reasonable fitness. The undoubted highlights were the visits to the small independent wineries where we were hosted by the owner/winemaker. Their passion for their craft was inspiring.

Please review your overall experience and what your highlights were

Great variation through out the trip. Good choice of hotels all were clean and comfortable. The walking was at an leisurely pace, wine tasting was fascinating,to see at first hand the enthusiasm and commitment that go's in to producing your tipple was exceptional. The site seeing was interesting and explanation given by our tour leader and hired guides were first class. The highlight of the trip was visiting the two privately run wine making establishments. The devotion and dedication to produce good wine was quite staggering in an industry which is finacialy very peccaries.

Please Review Your Overall Experience And What Your Highlights Were

A great varied trip. All the walks and wine tastings were of a different character and the towns visited were interesting. It was difficult to pick out a highlight but maybe it was the wine tasting in Fermoselle. A tiny one woman concern and our host was entertaining and informative, so different from the Protos winery with its 5 million bottle wine store

What was the highlight or most memorable moment of your tour?

Hard to say as it was all so interesting. The walks were all different in character and in nice countryside. Like the walks the wine tastings were at 4 very different businesses. The towns and villages we visited were generally interesting. If I had to pick a highlight it would be the wine tasting at Fermoselle. It was each a small concern and our host was very entertaining

What was the highlight or most memorable moment of your tour?

Enjoyed hiking in the countryside and learning something about the way of life in small towns like Fermoselle with its unique individual wine cellars. Charming and relaxing, Porto was also a lot of fun to explore.

What was the highlight or most memorable moment of your tour?

There were many highlights. Ones certainly worth mentioning include the wine tasting with the very enthusiastic Frenchman in Toro, visiting Segovia, the gorge walk along the Duraton River with vultures spying on us from above and the birds of prey display at Miranda Do Douro.
