This was a truly wonderful holiday with so many memorable experiences. Glaciers, volcanoes, geysirs, swimming in hot springs, spotting seals, puffins and whales, zip wire over a waterfall, walking on black beaches, the list goes on and on. Iceland is a stunningly beautiful country, and we would gladly do the whole trip again! Thank you too to Valdi our guide and Smissi our driver.

A holiday of a lifetime, we wanted to stay in Iceland when it was time to go home. Exciting variety of things to do and see. So many wonderful highlights! Waking with views to the sea and icelandic horses in front of our room, hiking on glacier with crampons and ice picks, friendly icelanders from sheep farmers whose farm we visited and held the lambs, to the ld who showed us round the underground cave system of volcanic lava tubes, and the old shark hunter who got the kids feedin his hens! Walk along cliffs with sea birds nesting and dramatic views of ancient lava flows that had met the sea was a walk of a lifetime! Two boat trips, the first with the thrill of seeing puffins and eating the catch that the captain hawled in, the second was an option on the last morning before our flight and we saw dolphins, porpoises and whales in sunshine surrounded by distant mountains. There are more highlights, zip wiring over waterfall, nd walking behind waterfall, horses, new birds, etc etc but I think this review might get too long! Fabulous holiday, we want to visit iceland again and see the rest of it!

Iceland is a-may-zing! Great trip. Would encourage everyone who is thinking about visiting Iceland to get booking. A new adventure every day. And still plenty to discover on future visits. Adults and kids alike will enjoy the experience. I've raved about this trip to anyone who will listen to me. Iceland is a very different country with many natural wonders.
Many highlights to list : The Blue Lagoon, Gulfoss Waterfall, the Geysirs, zip wiring, glacier walk, Black Beach, Parliament Plains, Bjarteyjarsunder Farm (recently featured in a Rick Stein episode), trawling for shell fish, whale watching.
Warm layers recommended, sturdy walking shoes or boots necessary.
It's a fascinating country.
