A really excellent trip. I have rated the accommodation as "7" only because of the fairly basic washing/toilet facilities at some of the campsites, but it is necessary to stay at the sites if you want to do the treks (which were really great), and the campsites in all other respects were great, so don't be put off!
What was particularly good was that for the treks, in addition to the Explore tour leader, we had 4 local guides, which meant we could split into smaller groups.
Fascinating country, in addition to excellent trekking great wildlife.

Bury St Edmunds
Excellent trip, Claude our guide was exceptional. I question using Turkish Airlines. My North Face bag had the zip tags cut out with the lock between Madagascar and receiving my luggage at Heathrow. There was nothing missing as there was nothing valuable in the bag and nothing had been taken. I will have to buy a new bag though. The zips were very robust and wouldn't have come off without cutting.

Would be good to improve camp site toilets. I.e. Better long drops.

I was lucky to have a very small group, the guides were great at spotting wildlife giving us fantastic opportunities for taking photos. While camping the porters were friendly and helpful, the food they produced on open fires was plentiful and delicious. The roll mats stopped the cold but a thermarest made it more comfortable. The trekking was reasonably easy with good paths, the ascent to Pico Boby was narrow and steep in places but well worth the effort. The scenery was varied and stunning. The hotels far exceeded my expectations.

Loved everything. Toilet facilities at first camping location must be improved. Don't expect phone or wifi throughout. Length and duration of walks to be updated as per new itinerary. Great food during camping. Bottled Water was available throughout. Sleeping bag can be provided by local agent on request. First night hotel should be antisirabe as often as possible, as otherwise drive from Tana to Ranomafana is far too long. Go with the flow and you will really enjoy it.

Seeing the wildlife was a great experience. Finding out how people live in Madagascar was quite an eye opener.
