First time with explore we really enjoyed the variety included in the trip. Our guide was excellent. We loved eating with local families.
All the places we stayed were of a good standard except Chez Momo where the service was poor and one of the bar staff was rude. He had calculated our bar bill to be 970 when it turned out to be 530. He made no apology for the error. The staff were never ready to serve meals at the times agreed and the tables were not set up ready.
We had a problem at Riad Dar L,Ouissa and Hazel Gifford will communicate with you about this separately as she deserves some recompense.
I feel the holiday would be improved if the last night was not spent in Marrakech, either have extra night in Taroudant , then drive from Essaouira to Marrakech airport on the last day or shorten the holiday by a day.

Marrakech & Atlas mountains were excellent. Hotel in Tarroudant was the best; maybe one more night there to relax for the older clients. Taxi driver couldn't find our hotel in Marrakech (did after 10 mins)Rest of tour was great. Would have been nice to know about getting currency in your tour notes. Mohammed was great. Overall trip was most enjoyable; 9/10.

A good trip with a helpful and knowledgeable leader but a little to much travelling and could have been a day shorter rather than spending the last night back in Marrakesh.

Accommodation good except for Chez Momo which was a loveley location and beautiful grounds but cleanliness and staff service needed improvement.

Due to our surprise this tour comprised just three travellers. We found the tour interesting and extremely informative enhanced by the undividing attention of our young guide Mohammed. Accommodation was generally very good - the exception being Chez Nomo where the room had no storage facilities of any sort and a very poor shower with lukewarm water.
Particular enjoyed our visits to the Moroccan villages making it a thoroughly good experience.

Highlights were the first lunch in the Berber house (not the second), the Marrakech walking tour with the official guide, both walks in the High Atlas (day 2 and day 3), the Essaouira tour with the official guide, the drive over the Tizi n' Test pass (even though it was foggy and raining), the Bahia Palace and the Badi Palace in Marrakech (visited independently).

As indicated on the itinerary, there are choices to be made, but it's not usually possible for everyone to be accommodated if they don't make the same choice!

Tips: take tough walking shoes (but not necessarily boots), be prepared for rain, walks can be longer or shorter than predicted when you set out, don't expect the standard of accommodation or anything else to be uniform throughout the trip.
