We all had a fantastic holiday, Boudker our guide enhanced the holiday with his wealth of knowledge about the area, people, culture and buildings, his warm friendly personality shone, he was always professional and great with the children.
For me personally our stay in Ouirganne was the highlight of the tour, the hotel being in such a beautiful setting with extremely attentive friendly staff, the walk was fabulous with dramatic scenery, the children really enjoyed the mule ride and Berber men guiding the mules took such good care of the children's needs it enabled us to relax and enjoy our surroundings. Having lunch with the local family in their home was a lovely experience that I will never forget. (Only way to improve that day for me would have been to take a different route back after lunch avoiding the road - even returning the way we had come, seeing your environment from the opposite direction gives you a different point of view).
There were many highlights to the tour visiting the oasis, being taught to cook in a tagine and make mint tea Berber style, meeting local people, riding on donkeys, mules, camels and horse and carriage, visiting the mosque, souks and medinas, horse riding along the beach, eating local foods (it was great having advice from Boudker), were just some of the things we loved about the holiday.
Sharing the holiday with people who started as strangers and became friends was particularly special for the children.
We would strongly recommend this holiday to others with children the same age as our two (5 and 8yrs).
The only disappointment throughout the holiday was the stay in the Palais Salam hotel, unfortunately both our rooms the air conditioning did not work so we were moved, the hotel was very tired with flaking paint and curtains that didn't pull, the swimming pools were disgusting with bugs swimming in them, bird poo floating in them and masses of bird poo around the edge, the food was disappointing and the staff were not very attentive and not warm and friendly like all the other Berber people we met. For these reasons my overall rating of the holiday was lowered. Boudker saved the day by arranging and taking us to another hotel to use their swimming pool, which was very relaxing and extremely clean, I would have been prepared to pay a little more and stay else where.
This holiday has introduced our children to a new style of travel for them. My eight year old daughter has requested that we always travel with explore and do the same style of holiday again. The holiday was very educational for us all, we learnt a lot whilst having loads of fun. Thank you.

This was an absolutely fantastic trip. It was mine and my sons first time to Morocco and we loved it. We saw amazing scenery, met friendly people ate some very tasty food too.
My son particularly liked the mule trek in the High Atlas and exploring the Oasis on a Donkey and his first experience surfing in Essaouira!
In fact he has rated this holiday equal to visiting Disney Land!!

Bit too much focus on 'meals with local families' which seems to be a theme with Explore, but the positive side is that they were the best meals we had. It would have been nice to have some of the other Moroccan dishes as a change from tagine.

I would have liked to get higher into the snow but our tour leader did managed to find us some for the novelty.

All the local guides were clear and informative.

Drivers were good.
