A tour paced to see as much as possible within Tibet. Highlights include Potala Palace , the Summer Palace, the numerous monasteries and Everest Base Camp. Had a great time and saw many wonderful sights.Tip. Check makeup of group before travel if travelling alone in case everyone else is part of a couple.

The tour was very well organized. We covered a lot in the two weeks, seeing many important monasteries, wonderful markets and of course enjoying the breathtaking landscape. The highlights for me included Mount Everest, Llasa and the palace, and the mountain passes. I think the guides were simply amazing. Sue, who was the Nepalese guide, was definitely the best guide I have ever had on any trip! Because of the altitudes, some of the travellers got quite ill and he was always there to make sure they were okay, visiting them at night and ensuring they were properly taken care of. Travelling in Tibet can be quite challenging because of the government regulations/security etc and he was very careful to make sure everything went smoothly. There was an overall consensus in our group that he was an amazing tour leader and was the main reason everything went so smoothly! I will definitely return to Nepal next summer and it has a lot to do with Sue and how he shared so many wonderful things about the Nepalese and Tibetan culture.

Excellent leader, Su was informed, considerate and careful.
Highlights were Barkhor square, Everest base camp, and Kathmandu.

Tips: Shop in Nepal, its cheaper and better quality. The saigon Pho restaurant opposite the Shangri La in Kathmandu is excellent.

There is a lot of UV, and its quite warm, so use sun cream, and wear a hat.

Highlights : Monasteries, palaces, the culture and people were fascinating, the Tibetan landscape was out of this world and visiting Mt. Everest base camp was absolutely amazing! Tips: perhaps a home visit or farm village visit ? Really would have liked to have been able to visit with the people in their homes/village , but I understand this may not be realistic given the current political situation in Tibet.

Tibet/China was very interesting, beautiful and we learnt a great deal. Seeing base camp Everest was marvellous. Seeing those monks debating was even more amazing!

The trip combines Nepal with Tibet, as you have to fly from Kathmandu to Gongkar and return, as the Friendship Highway between the two countries is currently closed due to the 2015 earthquake and subsequent landslides. Highlights for me were the more remote and quieter monasteries, as they had a more authentic feel, also Yamdrok (Turquoise) Lake and the view of Everest from Base Camp.

Seal Beach. CA
We both had problems with the altitude as we are 72 and 80 years old. The younger people in the group did better. The leader Sue was excellent and very helpful with everything and the driver and Tibet leader were also very good. The restaurants the leader knew about were always good. So overall, it was a very good trip.

This was a fascinating trip. Starting in Nepal which still managed to captivate despite the earthquake damage. Moving to Tibet, seeing pilgrims prostrate and walk the 'kora' around the Potola Palace with an inspiring display of Buddhism and what it means to them. Watching the monks at prayer with crashing of cymbals and banging of drums and deep vibrant chanting was spellbinding. Fab weather to see Mt Everest in all it's glory. Great scenery. Itinerary had been changed so had to return to Lhasa, although we did take a different route. I was glad to have taken throat sweets as high altitude can cause very dry throat. Tiger Balm also helped with headaches. It was a great tour and Explore Leader Kiran was terrific, always smiling, calm, helpful and in control.
