Interesting and varied trip through beautiful scenery. Tour leader was excellent. Highlights were Krakow, scenery on first 3 days and swimming in reservoir to cool off. 😊

Good company, pleasant cycling, great food together with a charming city - what's not to like? A city break with the added bonus of seeing something more of the country. Definitely worth staying in Krakow for an extra night or two to see more of city or to visit Auschwitz or the amazing Salt Mine (60p to take 20 min train journey to Wieliczka then a 5 min walk).

Each day brought different scenery/places to enjoy and a new hotel which made us feel like we'd been away for much longer. Sadly day 1 saw torrential rain so we didn't get to fully enjoy Zakopane (tip: buy a rain cape for £1 at the first supermarket just in case-wet means cold and the rain wicks up through anything that's not well covered, 2 ladies had wet bras under their waterproof coats!!).

Food + drink was tasty and very reasonable (typically, 2 courses with drinks for 2 was around £20). If you like ale the try the Zyweic 'Bock'.

Beautiful countryside and Poland is very cheap to eat out.
Accommodation varied wildly - 1 very good, 3 good and 2 basic - even in the basic ones food was good.
Itinerary was described accurately - I would have preferred to do a similar level every day rather than have the short days but .
Local guide was excellent.

Redding ca
I had ordered an e bike. It was not there on day #1. My guide worked hard to get it for me by day #2. Also he helped with teaching me gears and his to manage step hills. I felt safe with Peter

Poland was a revelation. It is a beautiful country, lovely people and great food. The highlights for me were the Dunajec Gorge,Krakow,Zakopane,a wonderful group of like minded people and a fab tour guide. Drinks and meals in rural Poland are relatively inexpensive and Kasia always pointed out the best 'lody' (icecream) in town as well as great places to eat, have coffee but on the whole we ate and socialised as a group.

Great to see the way of life and learn about the history and sample the local food. Tour leader was excellent of "telling the story", looking after us and also making recommendations on the food so that we could sample see the best of each place.
Cycling is very tame.
Some hotels more basic than we were expecting, but that is part of the experience - the last one, on Krakow, is very good, in great location just outside the "walled" city.

The highlight of the trip was the last day in Krakow.
Overall it was fun but the cycling was quite difficult for a trip described as "easy" and the standard of the hotels was disappointing.
I think it would appeal to someone who loves cycling and doesn't mind staying in remote locations with very little to do in the evenings.

Explore is a well-run company; if you're after a like-minded group of people who all enjoy similar experiences, Explore is a great choice. There's just the right balance of good organisation and thoughtful itinirary, along with free time and independance.
