What Was The Highlight Or Most Memorable Moment Of Your Tour

It would be wrong to pick a highlight as the best thing about the tour was probably its variety. We started out feeling like we were cycling through all the wine labels you’ve ever seen and ended up in Van Gogh landscapes, with a bit of pretending to be in the Tour de France in between. The routes were obviously carefully planned and considered, taking us along side roads and into countryside and villages you wouldn’t find independently. No-one at work believes me when I say how relaxing it was (they are mostly not cyclists…) but it’s a real luxury to have everything arranged for you and to be able to just pedal, look, chat, eat and sleep.

How Was Your Explore Tour Leader

Andrew was great – organised, informative and funny. He looked after us with care and a light touch and had an answer for everything!

What Tips Would You Give To Someone Else Booking This Tour

You don’t need to have done lots of hill climbing but you do need to be an experienced and confident cyclist and to get some miles in before you go. Take the long way round to work and do some weekend rides and it’s amazing how easy and enjoyable it is to do 260 ‘undulating’ miles over 6 days! Remember to stop and look around, take photos, chat to people, wander round markets, sit in cafes and generally enjoy being in France, as the week will go really quickly.
