- Migration in the Serengetti. Fantastic! This is the time of year to go- the dry season when the animals are on the move.
Saw all the big 5. Couldn't have been closer to the action.
This tour is really easy going. It is mainly sitting and being driven around.
The roads/tracks are very bumpy, although the extra padding on the seating is welcomed, I would not want to go on this trip if I had a back problem.
The camping is not really anything other than a canvas top- we had flushing, en suite toilets, shower ( at one site, hand filled). All food is excellent and plentiful.
We opted for the Zanzibar extension. I am pleased we did this. The flight was bumpy, a number of people were ill- there were not sick bags incur part of the plane ( bring your own). All the activities in Zanzibar are extra, this is a significant expense, though it is possible to get to Prison Island without a guide. The hotel in the north of Zanzibar was poorly organised, otherwise the accommodation and food was excellent.
