This was a well paced tour that really gave us a feel for the country and combined history, culture and a little adventure. Jerash and Kerak were amazing - the sheer size and scale were more than we expected. Petra is unmissable and is definitely something that should be on your bucket list, again the size of the structures and the immense history behind them is something that you cannot imagine. Try to go early morning and feel like you have gone back in time.
We spent a couple of days in the red sea relaxing and the snorkelling is good. The dessert is spectacular, try a sunset jeep ride and dawn camel rise to tick a few more once in a life time experiences. The dead sea is a very unique experience and again not to be missed.
A small country with a lot of special places, the tour arranged for us was for 9 nights as we extended the standard tour to give us 2 nights near Aquaba for a little beach/snorkelling relaxation time.
The country is on high security, with lots of police around and metal detectors in hotels however the people were all friendly and welcoming and at no time did we feel unsafe. Our tour guide/driver was amazing - Maher - and really made our trip and allowed us to understand a little of the culture, coming from the west it is easy to have a very one sided interpretation of events.
I have been lucky enough to travel reasonably widely and this is definitely in my top five trips ever. Go!

We enjoyed every second of our whirlwind tour of Jordan. I thought Petra by night would be the highlight but found it to be too crowded. Although Petra was beautiful and in parts breathtaking, there were too many people selling souvenirs or donkey/camel rides. Waking up in Wadi Rum was a fantastic experience. The jeep safari was good fun and the place where Lawrence of Arabia spent time was amazing (be prepared to be sold to but in a nice way). The Bedouin camp was a fantastic experience and the staff made it extra special. We stayed at Tala Bay rather than Aqaba, it was very peaceful and relaxed in a tranquil setting away from the hustle and bustle of Aqaba. I'm still unsure what to say about the Dead Sea, on the way to the resort the blue/green/turquoise of the water was so beautiful and inviting. However at the top of the sea where the hotels are situated it was rather underwhelming. Floating was good fun and coating your body in the mud was an experience (although it has an unpleasant aroma). The people of Jordan are so welcoming and friendly however there is a litter problem that needs addressing.

1. As certain meals not included it would be useful to know what typical costs are, say relative to UK meal prices.
2. Advice would be helpful where and where not to change money.
3. At Wadi Rum take your mattress outside and sleep under the stars.

I have travelled with them many times and always had good experiences, from Peru to Cuba to Jordan... Of course you have to be slightly intrepid! Explore is not designed for those wanting to live in the lap of luxury. But I have never been uncomfortable or disgruntled on one of their trips. Except possibly when in a sleeping bag on a verandah up in the hills of Cuba! I recommend Explore very highly.
