La Bua at State Tower
Le Bua at State Tower is impressive: the second tallest building in Bangkok, all of the suites offer views of the city and Chao Phraya River from their spacious balconies. The hotel also boasts a selection of restaurants, spa, gym and pool for those who want an extravagant start to their stay in Thailand.
Riverside Hoauixay
This is a largish hotel, well-located in Hoauixay. There’s a restaurant nearby and rooms have TV, fridge and air-conditioning. Accommodation options are limited here, but this is a good option with nice rooms with good facilities.
Boatlanding
The Boatlanding is a rustic eco-lodge with bungalows constructed in a traditional Lao style using local materials. Each bungalow is en-suite and all have verandahs, where you can watch locals fish or just enjoy your natural surrounds; sleep to the relaxing sounds of the river.
Nong Khai Riverside
Set in one of the most beautiful locations in Northern Laos, Nong Kiau Riverside Resort stretches along 300m of the Ou River.  This small lodge is comprised of simple bungalows, built on stilts and constructed from local materials. The rooms are spacious, with large bathrooms and a balcony overlooking the river and surrounding mountains.
Satri House

Built at the turn of the last century, as the residence of Prince Soupha-nouvong, Satri House is an elegant boutique hotel situated in the heart of the city. Rooms are beautifully decorated, and have four poster beds.

Vansana
A mid-sized hotel set on top of a hill. Facilities include a snack bar, tea and coffee bar and restaurant. Each room has a mini-bar, cable TV and a verandah to soak up the views.
The Settha Palace

The Settha Palace is located in the centre of Vientiane and is a former French colonial building. It has been beautifully restored into a luxurious hotel, facilities include a swimming pool and restaurant.

Pon Arena Hotel
Pon Arena Hotel is set along the Mekong River. Locally owned by Mr Pon, the rooms have been tastefully decorated in local style and are air-conditioned. Balconies look out over the river, and you can enjoy dinner in the riverside restaurant.
King Fisher Eco Lodge
This small eco-lodge consists of rooms built in wooden bungalows on stilts. Each has a glass front and balcony in order to give guests the best views of the surrounding national park. The restaurant overlooks the wetlands and is open, to give guests the chance to listen to and observe the natural life around them.
Tad Lo Lodge
The location of Tad Lo Lodge is spectacular; sitting above the Sexet River with great views of the Tad Lo and Tad Hang waterfalls. Rooms are in Lao-style villas set on stilts, each with its own balcony. There is a terrace restaurant and the lodge is also home to 2 rescued elephants.
