Trek Sikkim and Singalila

This rewarding trek takes us along the Singalila Ridge, following the border of India and Nepal. This region offers incredible views of the world's third highest mountain, Kanchenjunga (8586m) as well as Everest (8848m) and Lhotse (8516m) to the east. We visit some of Sikkim's fascinating Buddhist monasteries in Gangtok and take the 'toy train' from Darjeeling to Ghoom Monastery. There's also the chance to explore a little of two of India's best known cities, the Indian capital of Delhi, and Kolkata, with its colonial architecture and busy flower markets.

Tour Highlights

  • Singalila trek - Superb trekking with spectacular views of the Himalayan high peaks
  • Kolkata - Tour of the city's splendid heritage
  • Darjeeling - Hill station with spectacular mountain views; visit to Ghoom Monastery
  • Gangtok - Colourful Sikkimese capital; visit the magnificent Rumtek Monastery
  • Kalimpong - Visit Dzong-Dog-Phairi Monastery
