Fabulous holiday in an area of Spain I hadn't really considered before. Staying in a very comfortable & welcoming guesthouse in a peaceful village. The walks were well organised and most days included an extra activity or visit to learn more about the history and modern day life in the region.

Enjoyable walking trip in a quaint area of Spain. Walks are not spectacular vistas but excellent trails between key local points of interest. Interesting side trips to see small scale food industries.

Hosts are very experienced. Food a bit pricey and little choice in the local village. Hosts tried to add variety but relative to Spain in general meals were expensive. Excellent opportunity to experience local Spainish customs.

Accomodations in quaint typical Spanish residence. Comfy beds and quiet.

A really varied trip with plenty to do. Enjoyable walks with activities and visits to places if interest. Lovely village setting, a chance to see the real Spain and experience interacting with local people. Enjoyable visits to see how local produce is made and take part in the activity - milking a goat, making cheese. Also, very enjoyable 2.5 hour horse riding trip - options available if you don't want to ride. Beautiful scenery. Accommodation very comfortable, great breakfasts provided to start the day. Craig and Sasha, our hosts and guides, were fab! Craig's knowledge of geology - very interesting and informative. A great 8 day trip. Lovely garden to relax in after the walk. Comfortable room, quiet and spacious.

The whole trip was very well organised with an interesting itinerary. The other people were interesting and friendly too. The region is famous for ham so don't visit if you don't like pork!
The local scenery is beautiful and the hosts made a positive effort to support the local economy.
An excellent trip

Walks were amongst beautiful scenery and tour leader was very knowledgeable and passionate.
The Posada is rustic and homely, however the standard of cleanliness, particularly the bathroom, was poor.

I hesitated before booking this trip, as I haven't really done much walking/hiking before...I didn't even own a proper pair of walking boots! But it turned out to be one of the best trips I've done in a LONG time!

Starting from the convenient airport pick-up to the welcome cuppa tea at the guesthouse, it all went really well. On some group trips I've done previously, not much happens on the first day until a group meeting in the evening. But our excellent tour leader, Craig, got us out exploring pretty quick.

I think the grading of Easy/Moderate is accurate for this trip, as there are a few steeper slopes to navigate during the daily walks. But since you're out in such picturesque surroundings, you kind of just let your legs do the hard work while you take in the view! And nobody got left behind during the walks as the group went at a fairly leisurely pace, stopping for breaks along the way. So if you're more into extreme mounting trekking and get a bit impatient waiting for others, that's something to consider before booking this trip.

There's a free day midweek, which gives you a chance to go at a lazier pace. All of our group visited Seville.

There were loads of highlights during this trip, including visiting a local winery and a farm where we made our own goats cheese. And top marks to Craig for going beyond the call of duty with his impressive knowledge of the area and helping out with the Spanish/English translations (TIP: Try and learn some basic Spanish phrases before you go, as it is fun to try and practice even if you get the pronunciation ridiculously wrong!)

All very well organised. Great guide with masses of enthusiasm, knowledge both local and general and enthusiasm. Went to lengths to make sure things worked for us including booking trip on day off.

Well thought through itinerary with good visits on most days.

Walks great. Easy underfoot and good lengths. Quite up and down gradients so probably well described as easy to moderate.

Well worth doing. Group great, got on well. Craig and family friendly and great back story.

One or two things need doing around house but very little.

Great trip. Really good value. Thanks.
