This was a well organised tour, well paced, and suitable for most people who are reasonably fit. It took us on walks that were very diverse - up volcanoes (my own personal favourite activities), into gorges, into the Nebrodi mountains and close to picturesque Taormina. However, the duration of each walk on the itineray clearly underestimates the time taken to complete each walk. All walks took us about 5 hours to complete. The walk up to Vulcano certainly was at least 3/4 hours, not the 2 hours as advertised. I think it is important to be accurate (as best as you can) with the duration of walks as this information is often the basis of whether or not to go on a particular walking trip. In terms of all the climbing I might rate this holiday as moderate, not leisurely. In fact some days were particularly long so it was impossible to have much "chill out" time on the trip, except for Day 4. The tour guide was excellent throughout. She had great people skills, charm, and excellent spoken English.

A brilliant introduction to the scenery and culture of Sicily. Every day was different! The tour leader was excellent - always good humoured, encouraging and inspired confidence. The itinerary was more challenging than described - walks were usually 8-10 kilometres not the maximum 6 kilometres shown in the itinerary.

Hotel food was very good and hotel very clean with friendly staff but lacked ambiance. Leader was great as was driver and etnatrecking team. Scenery was outstanding. Have recommended trip to friends.

Marvellous walks in so many different places - the sinister slopes of Etna and the views from Volcano contrasted with the wild flower heaven of Pantalica and the Nebrodi mountains. Every day was a new highlight!Elena was a pleasure to know; she was so caring and enthusiastic. Her English was impeccable and she ensured that we were all included and comfortable with the pace, allowing sensible stops for photography and to allow the slower to catch up

Climbing the volcano on Vulcan was a highlight - or more honestly, scree running down the volcano! The walking is not technically difficult, it is as advertised.

Going up Vulcan and walking on Etna and seeing an eruption whilst we were there.

I would go to Sicily again
