Held at London's Royal Geographical Society on 25th March 2015, the Explore polar evening will include talks by a guest speaker from one of our most popular ships - the M/S Expedition. There will also be the chance to put your questions to our panel of polar experts which will include our guest speaker, past polar travellers and members of the Explore polar team.

Our guest speaker
Alex Cowan PhD, MPhil, MSci, MA
Holding a PhD in geology from Cambridge, Alex draws upon his many years as a researcher and lecturer to explain climate change and the fascinating landforms travellers encounter from the decks of the M/S Expedition. A major hit with travellers in Svalbard last year, Alex is at his happiest when sharing his knowledge of natural history and exploring the Antarctic Peninsula.
Getting to the venue
The Royal Geographical Society is located next to Hyde Park in Kensington, at the junction of Exhibition Road and Kensington Gore. Nearest tube stations are South Kensington, Knightsbridge and Lancaster Gate. Entry to the event is through the Kensington Gore entrance.
