WHICH? REPORT HIGHLIGHTS EXPLORE AS ONE OF THE SPECIALIST TRAVEL COMPANIES LEADING THE WAY ON REFUNDS
Wednesday 22 April 2020
Today, Which? announced a tourism plan to maintain trust in the travel industry, warning that without swift and tangible action from the government, consumer confidence in the travel sector could be permanently damaged.
Explore is one of a minority of travel companies
recognised by Which? for continuing to adhere to regulations and offer refunds when requested.
‘
One of the most important values at Explore is to do the right thing and so we’ve continued to offer refunds on suspended trips throughout the Coronavirus crisis’, says Joe Ponte, Managing Director of Explore.
‘Giving customers an ‘unforgettable experience’ is not just about how you look after people during the good times – which is why we fully support the Which? 10-point plan.’
The practical measures in the
Which? plan include protecting consumers' legal right to cash refunds, extending Foreign Office travel warnings to a definitive date, establishing a temporary government travel guarantee fund, and ensuring travel insurance terms and conditions are more transparent.
